Who are we
You know that feeling when you have a closet full of tools, yet you're still missing that one specific thing for your project? Or those moments when your family stops talking to you because your project is spread across the entire living room and you "just can't put it away yet"?
We know it all too well. And we believed that there were more creative souls like us in Bratislava. That’s why we decided to create a place where you’ll find a professional space, the tools you're missing, and—most importantly—buddies who will enthusiastically give you advice when you get stuck.
That is how MakerSpace Bratislava was born.
From Idea to Award and Our Own Workshop

We started with the idea of a "mobile workshop," which even earned us the Social Impact Award.

Later, we settled in Nová Cvernovka, where we turned an empty room with bare walls into a space pulsing with creativity.

We don't want to stop at just one workbench. Our goal is to build four core workshops under one roof—woodworking, tailoring, jewelry making, and electronics.

In our first year, we conducted more than 260 workshops and after-school clubs, encouraging 550 creators, young and old, to unplug from today's fast-paced digital world and slow down through craftsmanship.
Idea
Behind the MakerSpace Bratislava project is a team of enthusiastic people with extensive experience in various fields of creation. We are members of the TEDxBratislava community, where we have been organizing events aimed at spreading inspiring thoughts and ideas for many years. This experience has taught us that creativity and inspiration can change the world, but also that community support is needed to realize ideas.
We believe that what truly unites us is the love of creation. We want to create a community where people support each other, share their experiences and inspire each other. Creating MakerSpace Bratislava is our step towards passing on this passion and providing a space for everyone who wants to create, learn and grow.
